You can get to Liberec by motorway E65, R10 from Prague (106 km) in about an hour. No matter if you play in the morning or afternoon, you will still have enough time for sightseeing and entertainment not only in Liberec but also in other places of the region. The most distant place of our selection is 43 km distant from Liberec.
Liberec - Machnín (7 km from the town centre, 18 holes)
There is this year already an eighteen-hole course on the edge of the town in the direction of Děčín and Ústí nad Labem where all golfers can play. After playing you can go to see the highest mountain above the town by Liberec tram and hotel Ještěd on the top of the hill by a cableway. Its creator, architect Karel Hubáček, was awarded the top world architectonic prize, the Perret’s prize, for this building as the only person in the Czech Republic. There is a nice view of all cardinal points from the terrace or restaurant.
Ještěd - Rozstání (18 km, 9 holes)
There is a nine-hole course behind the highest mountain in the town surroundings in the direction of Český Dub. Your fellows or family can visit, when you are playing, Babylon in Liberec which is an entertainment centre with hotel, shopping centre, restaurants and mainly entertainment for children. Water world for swimmers or IQ park for speculators or inquisitives or other attractions will engage all visitors for quite a long time. Moreover, the Babylon centre is of an indoor form, so you need not worry about weather changes.
Ypsilon – Fojtka (12 km, 18 holes)
In the direction of Frýdlant in Bohemia there is one of the most attractive golf courses - a master eighteen-hole course called Ypsilon. You can set out on a trip to Frýdlant (23 km) from there where you can visit a beautiful chateau or you can go to a restaurant which is in a giant barrel in Lázně Libverda (27 km).
Grabštejn (20 km, 9 holes)
For the ones who still do not account themselves to be golfers there is a nine-hole public course below a castle which is worth visiting, too. Or eventually you can go and visit Polish Bogatynia (32 km) or German Zittau (25 km).
Malevil Ranch (33 km, 18 holes)
In the direction of Děčín and Ústí nad Labem you can play in an eighteen-hole course near Jablonné v Podještědí (26 km). This town has been mentioned in our history many times thanks to the St. Zdislava's cathedral and there is a beautiful chateau Lenberk (23 km) nearby. Another attraction is in Nový Bor (43 km). You can watch how glass is blown when drinking coffee or eating in restaurant Ajeto restaurant. There are four furnaces behind a glass wall from which glassmakers take molten glass out and make vases, cups, etc.
Liberec Golf Centre (2 km, 5x Full swing)
When it is really bad weather you can practice and play golf in an indoor hall with five simulators in the centre of Liberec near Zoo. Moreover, there is an excellent restaurant on the first floor. Another attraction is a near indoor fifty-meter Swimming Pool with one of the longest switch-backs in the Czech Republic. You must not miss visit of the Botanic Gardens either, where you can find many interesting and beautiful plants, or Zoo where you can admire many animals, not only white tigers.
On your way back to Prague you should visit chateau Sychrov (21 km) which is near the motorway in front of Turnov.
As you can see, you can spend a pleasant golf week in the Liberec region. You can accommodate in many boarding-houses but also in the Liberec hotels - Zlatý lev, Babylon or Imperial, or directly on the top of the mountain in hotel Ještěd.
